Reiki translates as ‘Universal life force’. The word Reiki is derived from the two Japanese words: ‘Rei’ which means ‘universal’ and ‘Ki’ which means ‘Life energy’.

There is a universal life force energy that flows through all living things. During a Reiki session, I will place my hands on or just above your body while working through a series of hand positions that correspond to different energy centres.

My role is to act as a conduit for the life force energy, enabling it to flow through your body to promote balance and harmony. Reiki can be useful to bring about symptom relief of anxiety and depression, stress, trauma, insomnia, and physical pain.

A Reiki treatment with me usually lasts an hour. When you receive a treatment you are fully clothed and have the option of a blanket. We start the session by exploring your intention for the session setting a focused direction for the healing to follow.

It is deeply relaxing and you may feel heat or coolness emanating from my hands. Reiki works on addressing the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of your life. At the end of our session, we will convene in a safe space of openness and reflection. Here, you are invited to share your experience and together we can find ways to weave this experience into the fabric of your everyday life.
